AGDQ will move online for 2021 citing health concerns due to COVID-19.

AGDQ will move online for 2021 and announced via Twitter yesterday that the charity speedrunning event which regularly supports charities like Doctors Without Borders, and the Prevent Cancer Foundation will move to an online-only format. SGDQ (Summer Games Done Quick) did something very similar and broadcast their event entirely in a studio last year. They also didn’t have a venue where players and competitors could gather. AGDQ will be doing the same.

The official dates for the event are the same and will be live broadcast on January 3rd-10th 2021. Game Submissions for AGDQ 2021 will open September 24th, 2020, and will close on October 4th, with an anticipated schedule release on November 9th.
