A new Animal Crossing: New Horizons seasonal update is upon us, and they are introducing some slightly new mechanics that I think many people have been asking for since the release of the game.

Now the update itself is pretty standard affair when it comes to Animal Crossing, but some of the additions could impact the games future. You’ll be able to collect and hand out candy to your islanders, find that perfect Halloween costume to show off to all your friends, and go to a Halloween themed party where you can see how your islanders decided to dress up for the event.

One thing that’s different about this event though is that players will finally be able to farm! Something that I have wanted in this game for a while. While the mechanics of it are pretty much the same as growing flowers, the simple fact that players will be able to grow and harvest pumpkins to then turn into craftables is a step in a positive direction in terms of the future of the game. I can only hope we see more of it in the future.
